The Positive Value of Employee Attachment
In this interview by Cecile Alper-Leroux, VP of products and innovation at UKG Ultimate Software, a developer of human analytics, Nancy describes how the uniquely human capacity to develop deep bonds is the outcome of very complex brain biochemistry that has evolved and enabled incredible social collaboration for centuries. She explains how important attachments are and highlights that equity is something that we have come to expect as a result of our species success. However, equity in division of labor is not what got us here. Complementarity did. Her interests are in figuring out what people need to be productive which means understanding how they form attachments with each other in the workplace, and finding ways to enhance, rather than undermine, human connection.
